Having spent a memorable afternoon and morning on a bronze casting workshop for non-artists, I can wholeheartedly recommend this type of event to anyone. As an art historian, it was especially valuable for me to be able to experience at first hand the process of making the type of object I spend my working life studying. Furthermore, coming to watch the final pouring of the hot molten bronze into our moulds was a thrilling experience.

The Bullpen Gallery was completed in 2007. It is a beautifully restored small, old stone barn which is connected by new-build to the studios. It houses temporary exhibitions showing the work of leading local artists and those from further afield, exploring a range of work, techniques, disciplines and styles - all contemporary. It will give artists a base from which they will have the opportunity to display and sell their work. Artists wishing to exhibit work in the gallery should send a detailed proposal (with images) for selection by the directors. Group and Solo exhibition proposals will be considered.
